Solutions Architect (Interactive Systems), Strong System Design & Presales Skills, Client Facing Ability, Hertfordshire Based, Immediately Available, Permanent

On speaking with this candidate, his enthusiasm for, and deep knowledge of, interactive technologies really comes across. He has a great understanding of the very latest technologies breaking new ground in the AV industry, but in addition to this he has the communication skills and personality to convey his knowledge and passion for the subject. I expect that his new employer will benefit technically as well as commercially from this candidate’s skill set.

An experienced solutions architect whose most recent experience has been the design, pre-sales and project management of interactive technologies for a major manufacturer with a base in the UK. This varied role has seen him design bespoke systems for large corporate clients, including interactive digital signage, kiosk solutions, point of sale solutions and arena VIP entrance solutions. The technologies he has utilised in these systems include gesture control, touch screens, laser surface, biometric facial recognition, gender and age recognition. This candidate has a strong background in IT, allowing him to design solutions from the infrastructure up. He has a proven ability to marry differing technologies into an integrated system that works in real world applications. His solutions have been and are currently being utilised in retail environments, exhibitions and sports & entertainment venues.

As well as technical design and site surveying, this candidate is strong in client facing situations, championing interactive solutions to clients and explaining the capabilities and benefits of the technologies to non-technical decision makers. He is also confident presenting solutions to clients following an in-depth pre-sales meeting to understand the business needs of the clients and creating an appropriate solution.

This candidate is now actively looking for a new opportunity that offers career progression and a focus on digital media. He is based in Hertfordshire with an easy commute into London (which he has done regularly). He is available immediately and is looking for a permanent opportunity where he can make use of his knowledge and work with interesting technologies on challenging projects. His previous salary was £45K but he is flexible on this as his main priority is to find an exciting role that offers long term career progression opportunities and the chance to keep working with cutting edge interactive tech.

Intro: BDM/Account Manager Candidate, Strong AV & VC Sales Background, Buckinghamshire Based, Permanent, 1 Month's Notice

This candidate has recently approached us here at AV Jobs and is looking for the next challenge in his already successful career. He comes across as a highly personable, dynamic and professional communicator. I’ve enjoyed our conversations so far and have been impressed by his knowledge of the AV and VC market, particularly in corporate/enterprise level solutions.

An experienced AV and VC major account manager with a strong track record of building relationships and increasing revenue with large corporate organisations in London and the South of England. This candidate has consistently achieved or exceeded targets in account manager and business development roles; he has a good technical understanding of AV and VC solutions, as well as how to sell the benefits of managed services. In his current role he is performing very well, achieving on target earnings of £103K last year.

This candidate is looking for a new opportunity as there are changes with his current company, driven by a new sales manager, who is moving the business to a more telephony & networking services focus. His strongest area is AV and VC technologies, so he is keen to continue focusing on these and related services. He is also excited by career progression possibilities and is ambitious, looking for an opportunity that will allow him to grow in the long term. He is looking for a basic around the £35K level with a car allowance and good OTE. His notice period is one month; he lives in Buckinghamshire and is used to working in Central London and the Southern Region.

Field Based Account Manager/Business Development Manager, End-User Focused, West Midlands Based, Strong AV Background, Available at Short Notice, Permanent

This candidate recently approached us here at AV Jobs and comes with a recommendation from an existing client. She strikes me as an extremely driven professional and natural sales person who can win customers over quickly.

This candidate is an extensively experienced sales professional with a track record of success selling AV products and solutions to the corporate and public sectors. Over 17 years in the industry, primarily selling to end users in the private/corporate sector. She has a strong sales track record, consistently exceeding targets with existing accounts as well as through new business development. She is used to field based roles where extensive travel is required; she enjoys selling in the field, presenting to and building relationships with clients. This candidate has a good knowledge of AV for business, with some exposure to Video Conferencing technologies, and is quick to learn new technologies and their selling points as they emerge.

Actively looking for a new opportunity as she is currently on gardening leave with her current employer, an AV distributor. This candidate is leaving the company by mutual consent as she was not enjoying distribution and is best suited to end-user focused sales with a reseller/integrator. She is keen to find a role where she can directly engage with end users and sell to them in a consultative manner.

Based in the West Midlands and happy to cover a sales territory of the Midlands and beyond. She enjoys technical sales but also has the personality to quickly establish rapport and build successful business relationships.

This candidate is looking for a basic salary of around £30K + Car/Allowance with a good OTE. She is available at short notice (November 2012) and is looking for a permanent opportunity.

AV Engineer, Early Career with AV Installation Experience + IT Experience, London E1 Based, Available from 24th September 2012, Permanent

This candidate got in touch with me last week. He is in the early stages of his AV career. He has worked hard to break into audio visual systems integration following early experience in mainstream commercial IT installation/support roles.

This candidate has a genuine passion for AV and has been unlucky in that his current employer is restructuring just after he has joined them. I feel that he will quickly grow to be an invaluable technical team member for the right integrator or service provider.

An AV Engineer with experience working for a large AV integrator on a contract basis (initially 3 months extended to 6 months) where he was performing 1st and 2nd fix installations into corporate sites in London’s financial centre. Following completion of the contract, he accepted a permanent position with another AV & VC integrator in June 2012; unfortunately the company are now restructuring and this candidate has been let go on a last-in first-out basis and will be available to start a new role from Monday 24th September, or at one week’s notice. He previously worked in IT engineering.

This candidate has experience of installing a variety of AV technologies and infrastructure including video conferencing systems (Cisco/Tandberg & Polycom), Crestron & AMX control systems (installation but not programming), ceiling and wall mounts, various types of cabling including terminations, amplifiers, switches and displays. He also has some experience rack building, commissioning and trouble-shooting the installed system.

This candidate is actively looking for a permanent opportunity where he can build on his existing AV experience and build a long term career with a stable employer. He lives in London (E1) and is happy to travel as required. His salary was £23K + fuel expenses, but he is flexible on this for the right opportunity. He is available for interview immediately.
