He uses Visio, Auto-Cad and MS Project and has strong knowledge of Digital Signage Solutions, Video Walls, Video Conferencing Solutions, Interactive Projection Floors, Boardroom and Operations rooms installations, as well as conference rooms, aquariums, and teaching and meeting rooms. Including all lighting and room control systems such as Lutron, Crestron, AMX and Kramer.

The majority of his work has been in London and the Home Counties and he is happy to travel to where the work is. His skills include:

•             Overseeing and organising stock ordering and logistics’

•             Completing Schematic and M&E drawings for installation Utilising AutoCAD and Visio,

•             Organising site specific work schedules, for installation engineers and Sub-contractors

•             Give additional onsite support to engineers when required

•             Complete Client O&M manuals

•             Completing Health & Safety, Risk and Method statements per installation

•             Run client training on systems

•             Ongoing Client support

He is a strong people manager who pays attention to the detail and who prides himself on getting the job done, in time, on budget and to the satisfaction of the customer.

Senior AV Engineer, Custom Install & Pro AV Experience, Design, Installation, Commissioning, End User Trainer, Degree Qualified, South East England Based, Immediately Available, Permanent

This candidate recently approached us here at AV jobs and I was impressed with the depth and breadth of his project experience and knowledge of AV technologies from across the spectrum. He has a deep enthusiasm for the application of integrated systems and is keen to continue his career in this area.

He is an extensively experienced AV engineer (20 years+), degree qualified (Honours Degree in Systems Engineering, Strathclyde University, Glasgow) who has worked on high end residential projects, comprising of custom installation of integrated systems into Grade 1 & 2 listed buildings, penthouses and yachts, as well as commercial projects comprising integrated Pro AV systems and VC technologies into offices and boardrooms in London. He has covered the full project cycle, including system design and specification, tender proposals, installation, commissioning and end-user training. He is strong in client facing situations with either business professionals or high net worth individuals.

This candidate is currently working on a freelance basis and is keen to find a permanent position where he can make use of his extensive skills and experience, whilst enjoying the security of full time employment and long term career progression opportunities. An experienced Video Conferencing Technical Professional, this candidate has gained extensive experience managing AV & VC installations,  IT networks and server installations. Many of the VC projects that he has managed have required quick turnaround, including installations into security sensitive government sites and healthcare facilities. He has strong client facing experience, offering consultancy services to clients, helping them define the right solutions, then specifying, project managing and implementing the system. He has excellent people management skills, having successfully managed teams of up to 15 engineers in his previous roles.

Actively looking for a new permanent opportunity following the conclusion of an interim position working for a friend in the AV/VC industry. He is based in North London and happy to travel as the role requires. I have known this candidate for some time and have always found him to be easy to get on with, with a good sense of humour, but also focused and professional as required. He is not afraid to speak up to clients and colleagues if a project or task is going awry and he can offer a solution.

This candidate is an extensively experienced Senior AV & VC Engineer with 20 years in the industry. He is CTS qualified, and has strong experience of VC, networks and AV systems, including design, documentation, installation, commissioning, project management, maintenance and serving clients on site. He also has experience of managing technical teams, including a team of 15 AV technicians during his time as Chief Technician at a large UK University.

This candidate is technically strong, with excellent communication and client facing skills. He has produced technical project documentation as well as technical summaries for non-technical key personnel in major corporate clients. Also has recent presales experience, helping to put together technical documentation for sales proposals for new integrated solutions into corporate customers.

Currently based in Essex and used to working in London (mostly The City and Canary Wharf); he is happy travelling if required. He is currently working on a freelance consultancy basis for friends within the industry, who can provide references, and is now looking for a new opportunity. Howard would be interested in a permanent role (looking for £40K+) but would also consider a contract/temporary position to help out in the short term if this is your preference.
