IT & AV Sales Manager North West, Education/Health/Public Sector & Corporate Sales & Team Management, Good Sales Track Record, Immediately Available, Permanent


This candidate recently approached AV Jobs and comes across as a knowledgeable and likeable sales professional. His experience of his chosen markets comes through when discussing his previous career achievements and he exudes credibility, making him good material for both sales management roles and sales to senior level decision makers where a certain level of gravitas is required.

He is an accomplished sales manager with a good sales track record both personally and for the teams he has managed. He has experience selling IT solutions (including AV technologies such as Smart/Promethean, Projection, Displays as well as networking solutions and PCs) into the public sector (education, NHS/healthcare and local government) and corporate/SME markets. He has experience managing teams of technical sales professionals, both external and internal, delivering success in exceeding targets by building good team spirit and a results focused ethos. Also a strong sales person himself, he is happy selling to clients at the senior level.

This candidate recently resigned from his role with a large distributor (a temporary 12month contract) due to a restructuring of his sales territory that left him very limited opportunity and in conflict with other sales people in the team (he will be happy to supply more information when required). He is therefore immediately available and looking for an opportunity where he can make use of his sales and sales management skills, as well as his knowledge of the NHS, public sector and education market (particularly in the North West). He has previously covered UK-wide sales territories and is happy to travel as the role requires. He is based in Lancashire.

Flexible on basic salary (previously his basic was £38K, £50K+ OTE) so long as the overall earnings potential is there in an achievable OTE.

Channel Account Manager/Product Manager, Flexible on Location (Bases in Surrey and Yorks), Strong Channel Background, Good knowledge of AV Products & Market, Reseller Contacts, Immediately Available, Permanent


This candidate is known to us at AV jobs both through direct work and through their reputation in the AV channel. They stand out as a consummate professional with a high level understanding of the AV/technology market and the UK AV and IT channels.  

This candidate is an experienced sales professional with a strong background in Channel Sales, including with a major UK AV distributor, where he sold a range of AV technologies in his product portfolio, including interactive technologies, projectors, displays and audio products. He still has good reseller contacts from his time in distribution and from running his own business, which specialised in AV products and managed service sales working with partners in the MOD, education and facilities management verticals. He has a good understanding of the AV market and solutions available, and is confident that he can learn a new product set very quickly. He also has sales management experience and has the potential to work in a more senior capacity in the future, but can be a self-sufficient and proactive member of the team immediately.

He left his last role due to the parent PLC lacking the funds required for investment in this start up business. He has still been working for them on an ad-hoc consultancy basis but is keen to find an opportunity to get back into the AV industry in a channel role where he can make use of his contacts and sales skills. He is currently based in Surrey, with an additional base in the North of England, and would look to settle permanently in the relevant location for his new role. He is looking for a salary of around £40K but his main priority is to find the right opportunity with a company that can offer him good earnings potential and long term career development.

AV & VC Account Manager, South West England Based, Excellent Sales Track Record, Corporate & Education Sector Experience, 1 Month's Notice, Permanent


I have known this candidate for some time, having first met him at an industry trade show several years ago. He is an enthusiastic professional with a genuine passion for technology and its application to improve the lives and effectiveness of those using it. This candidate certainly knows the AV industry and his personality and attitude allow him to communicate with decision makers in all levels in a variety of settings.

This candidate is  an experienced sales professional currently working for an AV manufacturer, where he initially utilised his background in the education sector to help grow their niche market share in to the UK number 1. More recently, his current employer have developed a new product and this candidate has again helped them to grow the market for this product, initially within education and now with a focus on the corporate market. He has achieved his successes by engaging directly with end users to uncover opportunities that he then closes along with a reseller partner.

This candidate has excellent communication skills, a good technical understanding of AV and VC solutions for the corporate market, with an emphasis on outcomes and how these technologies help the client to work more effectively and ultimately increase their bottom line. An excellent “door-opener” and relationship builder, utilising networking and referrals to build his client base, along with proactive account management to develop existing accounts. He is based in South West England, and is used to travelling extensively to serve clients across the South of England, and often further afield.

Now actively looking for a challenging opportunity where he will be able to develop as a professional and earn good levels of commission. He is ideally looking for a salary of £35K with a good OTE, but is flexible depending in the opportunity.

This candidate has recently approached us here at AV Jobs and is looking for the next challenge in his already successful career. He comes across as a highly personable, dynamic and professional communicator. I’ve enjoyed our conversations so far and have been impressed by his knowledge of the AV and VC market, particularly in corporate/enterprise level solutions.

An experienced AV and VC major account manager with a strong track record of building relationships and increasing revenue with large corporate organisations in London and the South of England. This candidate has consistently achieved or exceeded targets in account manager and business development roles; he has a good technical understanding of AV and VC solutions, as well as how to sell the benefits of managed services. In his current role he is performing very well, achieving on target earnings of £103K last year.

This candidate is looking for a new opportunity as there are changes with his current company, driven by a new sales manager, who is moving the business to a more telephony & networking services focus. His strongest area is AV and VC technologies, so he is keen to continue focusing on these and related services. He is also excited by career progression possibilities and is ambitious, looking for an opportunity that will allow him to grow in the long term. He is looking for a basic around the £35K level with a car allowance and good OTE. His notice period is one month; he lives in Buckinghamshire and is used to working in Central London and the Southern Region.

This candidate recently approached us as he is looking for the next step forward in a successful career in sales. He comes across as a friendly, professional and very knowledgeable Audio Visual sales professional. He comes with recommendations from other reputable contacts within the AV industry, an endorsement of his ability and integrity.

An experienced Audio Visual professional, this candidate began his AV career in a technical role, installing and repairing consumer AV equipment, before quickly moving into more sales focused roles, where he has since flourished. He honed his sales skills in field sales roles for an AV reseller, enjoying four years of success exceeding sales targets and progressing to Area Sales Manager, selling into the education sector. He then joined a larger Systems Integrator, selling into the corporate sector, higher education, leisure and government (MOD). As his career developed, he worked across a range of sectors selling sophisticated whole solution packages comprising a wide range of AV and IT technologies. His last role in end-user focused sales saw him take on a national sales role focused on the corporate solutions market.

The next step in his career saw this candidate move into a channel role, selling high-end AV products across the North of England into the reseller channel on behalf of a specialist distributor. Although he has enjoyed some major successes in this role, various issues within the company have meant that he has decided to move on and as such is available for a new opportunity at short notice.

Based in south Yorkshire, this candidate is flexible in terms of the sales area he will cover; he will consider relocation for the right role, but is also happy to cover a nationwide territory from his current location. He is used to working in a field based capacity, is self-motivated and autonomous.


Immediately available and looking for a salary of £38K plus Car and a good OTE (open to negotiation dependent on the role). This candidate will bring with him extensive industry and up-to-date product knowledge, as well as extensive contacts, enabling him to add to the company bottom line quickly.
