Channel Account Manager/Product Manager, Flexible on Location (Bases in Surrey and Yorks), Strong Channel Background, Good knowledge of AV Products & Market, Reseller Contacts, Immediately Available, Permanent

This candidate is known to us at AV jobs both through direct work and through their reputation in the AV channel. They stand out as a consummate professional with a high level understanding of the AV/technology market and the UK AV and IT channels.

This candidate is an experienced sales professional with a strong background in Channel Sales, including with a major UK AV distributor, where he sold a range of AV technologies in his product portfolio, including interactive technologies, projectors, displays and audio products. He still has good reseller contacts from his time in distribution and from running his own business, which specialised in AV products and managed service sales working with partners in the MOD, education and facilities management verticals. He has a good understanding of the AV market and solutions available, and is confident that he can learn a new product set very quickly. He also has sales management experience and has the potential to work in a more senior capacity in the future, but can be a self-sufficient and proactive member of the team immediately.

He left his last role due to the parent PLC lacking the funds required for investment in this start up business. He has still been working for them on an ad-hoc consultancy basis but is keen to find an opportunity to get back into the AV industry in a channel role where he can make use of his contacts and sales skills. He is currently based in Surrey, with an additional base in the North of England, and would look to settle permanently in the relevant location for his new role. He is looking for a salary of around £40K but his main priority is to find the right opportunity with a company that can offer him good earnings potential and long term career development.

On speaking with this candidate, his enthusiasm for, and deep knowledge of, interactive technologies really comes across. He has a great understanding of the very latest technologies breaking new ground in the AV industry, but in addition to this he has the communication skills and personality to convey his knowledge and passion for the subject. I expect that his new employer will benefit technically as well as commercially from this candidate’s skill set.

An experienced solutions architect whose most recent experience has been the design, pre-sales and project management of interactive technologies for a major manufacturer with a base in the UK. This varied role has seen him design bespoke systems for large corporate clients, including interactive digital signage, kiosk solutions, point of sale solutions and arena VIP entrance solutions. This candidate has a strong background in IT, allowing him to design solutions from the infrastructure up. He has a proven ability to marry differing technologies into an integrated system that works in real world applications. His solutions have been and are currently being utilised in retail environments, exhibitions and sports & entertainment venues.

As well as technical design and site surveying, this candidate is strong in client facing situations, championing interactive solutions to clients and explaining the capabilities and benefits of the technologies to non-technical decision makers. He is also confident presenting solutions to clients following an in-depth pre-sales meeting to understand the business needs of the clients and creating an appropriate solution.

This candidate is now actively looking for a new opportunity that offers career progression and a focus on digital media. He is based in Hertfordshire with an easy commute into London (which he has done regularly). He is available immediately and is looking for a permanent opportunity where he can make use of his knowledge and work with interesting technologies on challenging projects. His previous salary was £45K but he is flexible on this as his main priority is to find an exciting role that offers long term career progression opportunities and the chance to keep working with cutting edge interactive tech.
