yachts, as well as commercial projects comprising integrated Pro AV systems and
VC technologies into offices and boardrooms in London. He has covered the full
project cycle, including system design and specification, tender proposals,
installation, commissioning and end-user training. He is strong in client

individuals.
This

spoke to the following candidate at the end of last week and believe that his
enthusiasm for AV technologies, particularly high-end residential solutions,
along with his customer focused approach will make him an excellent addition to
a Custom Install engineering team.
An AV Custom Install Engineer with 8
years’ experience working for a specialist custom installation company on high
end residential AV systems installation, as well as Super Yacht installations
and a few commercial/corporate projects too. This candidate has gained strong
knowledge across a range of technologies, including rack building (he was head
of the rack building team for over a year), cable terminations, system
installation, including network infrastructure, control systems (mainly Lutron
and Crestron with some Control4), displays, projectors and audio systems. He
gained a well-rounded exposure to the wide variety of technologies integrated
into contemporary whole home automation and entertainment technologies. He is
confident working on his own or as part of a team.
This candidate recently left his employment on
good terms (references available on request) and is actively looking for a new
opportunity where he can make use of his Custom Installation skills and
knowledge of AV and related technologies. He lives in Kent and is happy to
travel as the role requires, being used to regular travel into London, where
most of his previous projects have been located, as well as occasionally going
further afield. He holds a full UK driving license, is available immediately

time and have always found him to be easy to get on with, with a good sense of
humour, but also focused and professional as required. He is not afraid to
speak up to clients and colleagues if a project or task is going awry and he
can offer a solution.
This candidate is an extensively
experienced Senior AV & VC Engineer with 20 years in the industry. He is
CTS qualified, and has strong experience of VC, networks and AV systems,
including design, documentation, installation, commissioning, project
management, maintenance and serving clients on site. He also has experience of
managing technical teams, including a team of 15 AV technicians during his time
as Chief Technician at a large UK University.
This candidate is technically strong,
with excellent communication and client facing skills. He has produced
technical project documentation as well as technical summaries for
non-technical key personnel in major corporate clients. Also has recent
presales experience, helping to put together technical documentation for sales
proposals for new integrated solutions into corporate customers.
Currently based in Essex and used to
working in London (mostly The City and Canary Wharf); he is happy travelling if
required. He is currently working on a freelance consultancy basis for friends
within the industry, who can provide references, and is now looking for a new
opportunity. Howard would be interested in a permanent role (looking for £40K+)
but would also consider a contract/temporary position to help out in the short
term if this is your preference.
