This candidate was a joy to speak to
today; he is very positive about the Video Conferencing industry and the
opportunities on offer. He is currently working freelance, but keen to find a
permanent opportunity where he can enjoy professional development and a stable
workload with a regular income.
He is an accomplished Video Conferencing
Engineer with experience of the installation and support of a wide range of
video conferencing solutions, including Polycom , Tandberg and Lifesize
systems, as well as the associated infrastructure, including Cisco switches, IP
networks, Bridges and Codecs (Codian/Tandberg). He is originally from Nigeria,
where he began his VC career, and has since gained UK experience with integrators
in the South of England, installing VC systems for corporate clients. He is
currently freelancing, running the AV and VC services for live events, as well
as subcontracting for integrators on AV and VC installations.
He is actively looking for a permanent
opportunity with a company that can make use of his VC knowledge and
engineering skills, as well as his client facing abilities and positive
approach to work. He has a “can do” attitude and is happy to work extra hours
or shifts to complete work as required. He is based in Berkshire (Southern
England) and is available at two weeks’ notice. He currently holds a Tier 1
visa, allowing him full right to work in the UK, and will be eligible and
applying for indefinite leave to remain (meaning he will be a permanent UK
resident) in January 2013. He is flexible on salary, and has suggested £24-28K
as a guide, but his main priority is to find a long term opportunity where he
can enjoy career progression.
