AV Technical Sales/Pre-Sales Engineer, Commercially Aware AV Systems Designer, Account Manager, Surrey, South of England Based, Immediately Available

This candidate is someone that my colleague Pat (http://uk.linkedin.com/in/patdeeley) and I are both trying to help find a new opportunity. One of the great things about his professional profile, and that also makes it a challenge to find him the right role, is that he doesn’t easily fit into a “box” that we recruiters and employers try to put people’s skills into.

He has extensive experience in the AV & IT industries, most recently in distribution and with a manufacturer, working in technical sales roles. His broad remit has included pre-sales design and support for customers (Systems Integrators) as well as overseeing the delivery of technical support for end-user customers. Also heavily involved in the sales process, with strong client facing skills allowing him to comfortably understand a client’s requirements, then translate this need into a technically sound and commercially viable solution. Excellent at producing solution designs, tender documentation and proposals, particularly in getting across the required technical specifications whilst keeping the document readable.

He is based in Surrey and immediately available (following redundancy) for a role with an organisation that can make use of his AV and IT knowledge (particularly strong on integrated AV systems utilising AV signal distribution and control systems), his client facing skills and his proposal/tender writing skills. This candidate will also consider roles that require relocation (anywhere in the South of England). He is flexible on salary, but as a guide for someone at his level I would suggest a £30-35K basic salary, possibly with a bonus incentive related to new business, depending on the specifics of the potential role.
