This candidate got in touch with me
last week. He is in the early stages of his AV career. He has worked hard to
break into audio visual systems integration following early experience in
mainstream commercial IT installation/support roles.
This candidate has a genuine passion
for AV and has been unlucky in that his current employer is restructuring just
after he has joined them. I feel that he will quickly grow to be an invaluable
technical team member for the right integrator or service provider.
An AV Engineer with experience working
for a large AV integrator on a contract basis (initially 3 months extended to 6
months) where he was performing 1st and 2nd fix
installations into corporate sites in London’s financial centre. Following
completion of the contract, he accepted a permanent position with another AV
& VC integrator in June 2012; unfortunately the company are now restructuring
and this candidate has been let go on a last-in first-out basis and will be
available to start a new role from Monday 24th September, or at one
week’s notice. He previously worked in IT engineering.
This candidate has experience of
installing a variety of AV technologies and infrastructure including video
conferencing systems (Cisco/Tandberg & Polycom), Crestron & AMX control
systems (installation but not programming), ceiling and wall mounts, various
types of cabling including terminations, amplifiers, switches and displays. He
also has some experience rack building, commissioning and trouble-shooting the
installed system.
This candidate is actively looking for
a permanent opportunity where he can build on his existing AV experience and build
a long term career with a stable employer. He lives in London (E1) and is happy
to travel as required. His salary was £23K + fuel expenses, but he is flexible on
this for the right opportunity. He is available for interview immediately.
